    Packing and Russian Grandmothers?

    Dear Talia,

As you know by now the kids are alive and well and yes, Otto does have a strong immune system. It’s always nice to see all the kiddos together even if they don’t quite know how to “play nice” yet. Amelia tried her very best to be patient and Sebastian and dad were falling asleep together.

Reality around here is packing. I can’t believe that this time next week we will be getting on a plane headed to New York. Time is not a friendly guest here and I’m definitely feeling the strain. There’s a whole lot of “Why did I keep that?” being thrown around the house (mostly from me) and I am really overwhelmed. Yesterday was my last day of work and I had a hard time celebrating because there really isn’t any time for that. Is there an emoji for “mixed emotions combined with stress”? HA.

I keep telling myself it’ll all be worth it though. We can finally live in a real house with space for a communal work space, a backyard and a front porch! Can you believe it? I’m a ball of emotions right now and I don’t think that will go away until we’ve unpacked our last box in the new place.

The outfit is a bit of a mixed bag just like me. The shirt was made/printed by Brendan (which is now mine due to the transitive property of marriage), I made the bag, the skirt was found and it could belong to a friend or family member (are you missing a skirt?), the shoes were a birthday present from Dad, the necklaces are and oldies from F21, and the headscarf I picked up at a yard sale for 25 cents. A friend said the scarf made me look like a Russian grandmother.

Enjoy your moments of peace with those little ones. They are just too sweet!

    Love,

    Becca
