Grape Street Cafe – Las Vegas Eats!

I’ve been told by several people out this way to try Grape Street Cafe out in the downtown Summerlin area. Upon arriving and taking 5 seconds to look around, I immediately knew I was about to have a great time, and that I would leave with a satisfied belly. I went with my cousin Nikka, who has been living in Las Vegas for several years now – we didn’t grow up together, but after a few visits we’ve become fast-friends. I’m loving her company. She’s kinda been the one giving me all the greatest recommendations since we share similar palettes. You know, we eat just about anything. Super rare to find a friend like that these days without too many dietary restrictions!

The cuisine is Italian and Mediterranean, but just by glancing through the menu it looked like there was a little something for everyone. If you were in the mood for pasta, sandwiches, a hearty salad, refreshing appetizers, steak… oh, and good wine.

The server was friendly and attentive, making sure the glasses were never empty. He brought out fresh bread and butter. This being the first real meal that day for both of us, we had to be careful not to devour it all and get too full on the bread.. but wow. It had that fresh-baked crunch and sound, and the whipped butter was just heavenly. He mentioned the Lobster Fritters special and we were instantly sold. Lightly battered, and at least 8 oz worth of lobster.. the first bite Nikka and I thought the same thing: they do NOT skimp! SSOOSOOo happy we went with his suggestion. It was the perfect appetizer. It paired better with the glass of Sauvignon Blanc that Nikka ordered. (The Crossing SB) – however my Inception Pinot Noir ended up the yummiest match to the Steak Fritte.  We also decided to split the Greek Salad since the portion was pretty big. They kindly split the meals for us.  I ended the meal with a Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon and we ordered the Sweet Potato Tart with Pumpkin Latte ice-cream to finish off the meal.

I can’t wait to come back here with Jeff, just to try their happy hour and sample out more of their wine list. From what we saw by what was served by the glass… all good options. Hooray for yet another reason to fall in love with this amazing town!
