Another Trader Joe’s Tuesday post!
This one is another super simple post, and I don’t know if they’ve skimped with ingredients lately but I’ve been going in there and the samples seem to have gone to ___ since the original recipe for this was just the shrimp and the penne bag. I had to improvise since I liked the flavor and the simplicity, but what’s happening at my local Trader Joe’s? I’m hoping the efforts pick back up again and the people working there start getting a little more creative!
So I am always one for a spicy seafood pasta. It’s always what I feel like ordering when I am at an Italian restaurant. Linguine Fruitti di Mare or however they call it, always yum. Like one big seafood party ..
This one is not a seafood party. It’s simple. It can get more complex I guess if you threw in clams and muscles.
I added that Trader Joe’s Organic Broccoli Slaw to this recipe as well since I knew it would trick my kids in to eating some veggies that they think are extra pasta noodles. *I also added a little bit of red wine, salt and pepper.
- Trader Joe’s Organic Broccoli Slaw
- Trader Joe’s Penne Arrabbiata
- Trader Joe’s Medium Cooked Shrimp
Follow instructions for the penne arrabbiata. Take out medium frying pan and cook up the penne until all the sauce melts. Add a little red wine if you want. Once sauce is melting throw in the shrimp and cook on medium for about 7 more minutes. Then throw in half the bag of broccoli slaw. Mix together. Add salt and pepper. Enjoy!
