Our wedding we shot on Saturday was amazing. We pulled up to the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum and our minds were spinning! Acres and acres of property with nothin’ but antique…well, gas and steam engines. Hahahaha! All sorts of tractors, trailers, props galore! I just knew I wouldn’t be able to use the entire spot, can’t wait to go back there and shoot another wedding. I’ll post about this one on my wedding blog soon and let you know when it’s up.
I knew it would be tough this weekend since we didn’t anticipate having to bring the kids to San Diego, but alas! Life throws a curve ball in the plans, or a wrench, what-have-you. The babies did great so far. Obviously some fussing here and there but over all they were awesome! Koegen watched Amelia for a bit on Saturday. She took her to a kids party. Highlights she shared about my sassy three year old included:
- Amelia told Koegen that “Mommy and Daddy don’t allow me to eat vegetables.”
- Koegen asked her, “how do you like being so close with your Lolo and Lola now?” Amelia just stared at her and then replied, Huh? To which Koegen asked, “you know, your Lolo Gicky and Lola Malu!” Amelia stared again and looked confused. Then Koegen outright said, “your mom’s mom and dad! What do you call them?!” Amelia gave her a DUH expression and slowly said, “Grandma and Grandpa”. Ohhhhh I was cracking up big time when I heard that! We’re too American-ized I guess. Koegen joked that our daughter probably thinks she’s racist or something. To which I am sure Amelia would reply, HUH?
- She kept getting offended when people would laugh at the funny things she said. She would look at them and say, “are you laughing at me?!” With anger in her face. I’ve been trying to express to her the difference between laughing at someone and laughing with someone, or just plain laughing because what you said was hilarious.
Samantha was so gracious to let us stay with her – we even stayed with Vikki the first night. Seriously miss all my great friends out this way. I took way more photos of the family this weekend but for now I’ll just post up a few from Saturday. Of course it’s mostly my mug! Don’t ya miss me?! This dress I found in January at H&M and the weather is finally warm enough to wear it! Plus, since I was still breastfeeding/pumping in January my boobs didn’t fit in it. It wouldn’t zip up in the back but I was determined! Happy it fits now and kinda wish they made it in a hundred different colors cuz I would buy.. well, at least 2-3. And those shoes? The brown Cole Haans. I told ya you would see a lot of these shoes. Super comfy. Obviously. Wore ’em while shooting a wedding. How was your weekend? Miss you.
